U.S. international Christian Pulisic took to social media to express his happiness that Milan handed teammate Tijjani Reijnders a contract extension, commenting "well deserved" as the club announced a five-year deal for their midfielder. Reijnders has established himself as a key part of Milan's midfield over the past two seasons and has scored 12 goals in 40 appearances for the this campaign.

Pulisic himself is yet to pen a long-term deal. He is still on his initial contract in Italy, which expires in the summer of 2027. There has been scattered talk that the American might seek an exit from Serie A, with suggestions that Liverpool are interested in securing his signature. It has been a difficult month for Pulisic, whose form has dropped under new manager Sergio Conceicao, who joined midseason after Paulo Fonseca was fired. It has led to talk in Italian media that there is a rift between him and the new manager.

Pulisic insisted he is happy at Milan in an official statement: "I have never argued with the coach and I have never asked to leave. I am very happy at Milan and I want to continue wearing this shirt.
